How do I Pay?

Our payment gateway (through Payfast) caters for VISA, Mastercard or secure EFT, and even Bitcoin. By prior arrangement and if you would like to collect from our offices, you may be able to pay cash but for security reasons we prefer not to handle cash.

Is Payment Secure?

Definitely! We use a secure payment gateway called Payfast - for more about them, click here. Payfast uses Extended Validation SSL with 256-bit encryption. Only two of the four major South African banks use this, the highest, level of encryption currently available. 3D Secure is in place for all credit card transactions. If you want to know all the nitty-gritty, please visit Payfast's website above, but we take our customer's payment security as our primary priority. Don't hesitate to contact us if you need any more information about this.

What is 3D Secure

If you are not registered with 3D Secure, you only need to do so once with you own bank and after that, you are good to go on any online store that uses this excellent security feature. 3D Secure is an extra layer of security in using your credit card for online transactions. For online transactions over R1000 you'll be asked to enter your 3D Secure password (different from the PIN), which is called Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode by the respective credit card companies. You have to register for 3D Secure with your card issuing bank, and can be set up either as a password of your choice or a one-time-password that will be sent to you by email/SMS. Although it is not required to use 3D Secure on an online shop, we insist on it in order to encourage our customers to register and use this additional layer of security.

What if I am not home?

If you are not home to take the delivery, we will leave it with complex security (only on your specific instruction) or with your domestic helper. Please try ensure that somebody trustworthy is there to accept delivery. NOTE: We can only leave alcohol deliveries with an individual who is over 18 years of age.

How long does delivery take?

Local beers and spirits are delivered within 48-72 hours in Johannesburg and Pretoria. Craft beers can take a while longer, depending on stock. We aim to deliver within 3-5 days and will do our best to get whatever you need! Local wines also depend on stock because we often get them directly from the vineyard in order to bring you the best prices. Please allow us 7-10 days to deliver. Imported wines, spirits and liqueurs also take between 7-10 days to deliver. By special arrangement, and for an additional fee of between R100-R250, we can deliver on the same day - perfect for an occasion when you have forgotten a gift!
